Class 9 contains Miscellaneous dangerous substances. These are substances and articles which present a danger to people or the environment and which are not covered by the other classes. This class includes a wide variety of materials, including asbestos goods and lithium batteries.
Class 8 is for corrosive substances. These are substances and articles that will cause severe damage by chemical action when in contact with living tissue or other goods or materials.
Class 6.1 is for toxic substances. These are substances which, if ingested, inhaled or absorbed by skin contact are liable to cause death, serious injury or harm health.
Oxidizing Agent Class 5.1 contains substances that whilst not necessarily combustible, can assist the combustion of other materials through the provision of oxygen.

These substances are occasionally carried under controlled temperatures. They are recognised by their chemical property, in that they contain a bivalent -0-0 structure.
